"Practice like you're the worst, perform like you are the best"
"Lightning in a bottle, one sip to full throttle"
Mark Figueroa is a dancer, choreographer and creative director. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was raised all along the East Coast which vastly contributed to his eclectic style, best described as edgy and authentic with explosive bursts of energy. He cites being accepted into the prestigious Dance Academy program at William Allen High and classes at the local YMCA at the age of 16, as the beginning of his journey into dance. Inspired by mega artists such as Usher, Justin Timberlake, Aaliyah, J.Lo and Britney Spears, Mark had no idea his love for music and performance would evolve into a career in the arts. As a choreographer and educator, Mark believes in an elevated teaching style which uses encouragement paired with discipline to keep students continually motivated and dancing to the best of their ability. He has also been a great influence in his community and was featured on 69 News "Unsung Heroes" as well as choreographed an anti bullying video to help raise awareness. He has choreographed for venues such as World of Dance, Koresh, Millennium Dance Complex, and for artist Tony Sunshine at the LVMA's. As a dancer, Mark has opened up for Ciara, Fat Joe, Ne-Yo and SWV with Warner Brothers artists GOOD GIRL. He has also had the privilege of training with Luam, Dave Scott, Neil Schwartz, Eddie Morales and John Rua. Mark hopes to continue expanding his brand globally, spreading his message of positivity, love, and light through his art and reminding students and teachers alike to #FEELITFIRST.
